When you subscribe to The Mental Game newsletter, the signup form collects your first name and email address. This information is used to send periodic email communications about the mental game and mental performance for tennis. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
When you submit the contact form on this site, the following information is collected: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), location, player level, and a description of what you are looking for. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry about coaching services.
This site counts its own visits. On each public page a small script records the page, the address of the page or site you came from (only its domain is kept), any campaign tag in the link, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, the country your connection comes from, and how many seconds the page was on screen. It sets no cookies and stores no IP address and nothing that identifies you. To tell one visit from the next, it makes a random number that lives in your browser tab until the tab closes; that number is stored with the counts and cannot be connected to you or to your other visits. Browsers that send the Global Privacy Control signal are not counted. The counts are stored with Supabase and are used only to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site.
The homepage also uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics collects information including pages visited, time spent on the site, how you arrived at the site, your device and browser type, and your approximate geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this data. Full IP addresses are not stored.
The contact form is processed by Formspree. In addition to the information you type into the form, Formspree also collects metadata including your IP address, browser type, and the timestamp of your submission. A copy of what you type into the form (your name, contact details, your answers and your message, together with the country your connection comes from and the random visit number described above, never your IP address) is also stored with Supabase, so that Christian can keep track of who has written and reply. It is kept for as long as the conversation it belongs to is relevant.
The Ask AI page on this site makes the writing askable — a question-answering assistant that responds in Christian's voice using only material from his published writing. When you submit a question, the following information is logged anonymously to help improve the assistant and the site:
No IP addresses, names, email addresses, or other identifying information are stored with these logs. The session identifier can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.
These logs are used to identify topics people are asking about that the writing does not yet cover, to monitor that the assistant remains within its scope (it explains the framework but does not give personalized coaching), to detect misuse of the service, and to understand usage patterns. Logs may be reviewed manually by Christian. They are not made public and are not shared with third parties beyond the service providers listed in the Third-party services section.
Logs are retained for as long as they are useful for these purposes. You can request deletion of any logs associated with your session by contacting the email address above; deletion requires that you can identify your session, since the logs are otherwise anonymous.
This site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics. These are first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_WHKVMV7G46. They are used to distinguish visitors and track usage patterns. They do not store personally identifiable information and do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes.
The Ask AI page sets a first-party cookie used for rate limiting (currently 10 questions per browser per 24 hours). The cookie holds a random identifier and an expiration time. It is not used for tracking across sites and is not linked to identifying information. Clearing your browser's storage for this site removes it.
If you are visiting from the European Union or European Economic Area, Google Analytics will only load after you have given consent via the cookie notice that appears when you first visit the site.
